Customer Service

Below is the second email response to a customer asking about her package. Its more of a blog post, and I thought I would share it with you.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi again,

I would doubt this effects your delivery, but noticed this service announcement on the FedEx site.

"High winds and thunderstorms at Memphis hub may cause some service delays and disruptions within the U.S. today." Learn more <Link>

On Mon. or Tue. you should see your package 'show up' in tracking after transit from CA.

We'll see scan-able bar codes and GPS giving us the exact location of a package soon. The technology has existed for several years.

I think the shipping companies may be intentionally putting it off - as there is some advantage not to do it -they will be paying out more refunds on packages not delivered on time.

Either UPS or FedEx or both probably has the technology in place. It’s a matter of determining if (the competitive edge they get from making this information available) is greater than (the cost of the resulting new refunds)

Very corporate.

The good news is, or at least my prediction is:

We are going to see a huge rise in small businesses doing the impossible -competing and winning over corporations 1000 times their size.

This is what we do essentially. We are small, yet, we are very maneuverable, can makes changes almost instantly, we are efficient, creative and have very low overhead.

Also as I'm demonstrating one right now. 'Possibly more than you needed, :)
but the personalized research and answer in the previous email I sent...

... FedEx, nor any corporation, big business, or your congressman, provide you with this type of customer service.  or 'Care'.

... Big business and big government are destined to fail, despite the illusion of the current conditions. And this is very good news, I believe.

Besides my opinion, its written in the pages of history, over and over, as far back as we have records.

You may track your package at:

Thanks again,

David
